With this function you can:
- See if your equipment is connected and ready for capture (Microsoft DV Camera and VCR - blank if not connected)
- Specify if you want to capture Video & Audio or Video only
- Specify the output format of your video files (WMV or AVI)
- Configure the system for Deinterlace capabilities (frame by frame)
- Select between different video and audio codecs
Based on the experience we have, most of our users uses the AVI video format with the Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2 file compression. This format has a very efficient video compression technology especially compared to the diskspace it takes. 60 minutes of digitalization takes less than 1GB of diskspace.
When you use sound we recommend you to use the PCM audio codec.
Note. If you experience problems with the captured video that it plays in slow motion, try to capture with video only.
